Adirondack Council will give award at Ranger School

WANAKENA — The Adirondack Council will present its conservationist of the year award to John and Margot Ernst on Saturday at the Ranger School as part of the organization’s forever wild day celebrations.

“John and Margot Ernst have devoted their lives to improving the environment and the economy of the Adirondack Park,” said Adirondack Council Chairwoman Ann E. Carmel in a statement.

The Council’s 2013 annual membership meeting at 1:45 p.m. will be open to the public but reservations are required for the 11:30 a.m. award lunch.
